This isn't going to be a well written piece, the reasons of which may become obvious as you read the contents. I haven't been drawing or practicing any musical instruments or doing anything particularly creative for some time now. And was difficult to pin down what I could do to change that. There's a lot of stressors in my life, and usually when I am very busy and don't have a lot of time to relax, I go straight to video games or watching a show. Or doing both at the same time. The tiers of potentially relaxing activities go much like this; from easiest to hardest to do when stressed: stare at a wall listen to music watch television play a video game interact with pets cook something clean my living space journal go outside for a walk or fishing practice a musical instrument draw or create something artsy read a book However, that's not how useful they are. In terms of how effective they are at helping to relax or de stress, it actually goes more like this; from most to least

They're puttin' chemicals in the water to make the ponies gey Lots of stuff going on including a new thing where I don't look at electronic screens two hours before bed. Which means I have two hours where I'm bored and can't watch tv or dick around or shop online. So now it' pony comic time. If I stick with it, probably going to actually have something new for here by the end of February. Still haven't graduated from grad school. However, part of the reason I haven't had time or energy to draw is...I'm actually working on my thesis. Progress is happening. I might actually walk out of this one with a piece of paper that says "master's degree" on it.

I had a bad day. And I'm upset with life right now. I think I'm going to go ahead and start working on this comic again soon, I need a creative outlet, something to make so that I feel like I'm making progress. I can't handle being around people right now, but you don't have to be around people to draw, and it just feels like something I need. Though, since I haven't even been doing basic sketching much lately, it's going to be a slow start. Probably going to go through some of the exercises in some of the art books I've accrued along with slowly working on new pages.
